Welcome!

Welcome to the web home of the Professional Fire Fighters of West Virginia.  The PFFWV is chartered and affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, CLC.

The International Association of Fire Fighters chartered the PFFWV on December 20, 1930.  The membership of the PFFWV is comprised of Local Unions of fire fighters in the state of West Virginia.  The PFFWV serves 22 locals with more than 900 active and retired members.

On Thursday November 19th the House of Delegates passed Senate bill 4007 (pension reform bill).  Although it is not the plan we initially sought, it is a plan that will stabilize those in dire need and could facilitate reform for those who may need it at a later date.
